I did pretty well. Had a great conversation with my favorite manager about vitamin health and coupon fraud. I didn’t know there was so many people trying to scam! Returning merchandise after buying it with a coupon, returning products stolen from another store using a reciept from the trashcan outside. No wonder some cashiers are nervous or mean to couponers. I told her that I realized in retrospect about a month ago I had given her a expired coupon and apologized. I didn’t realize it till I had gotten home and couldn’t find another copy on the web and that was why it beeped when the original cashier scanned it. I had asked her about the beep and the cashier thought it was because it was an energy chew and I needed to be of age or something.
Also I verified with her that I could use my CVS store coupon save $5 off $25, that expired Sunday. My CVS allows store coupons within 7 days of expiration. Thank goodness, momma can’t get down on a Sunday, too much going on the weekends.
1 Fiber One Chewy Bar, $3.99 (get back 3 ECB)
-$.50 coupon (printable here)
1 Freestyle Meter $14.99 (get back 5 ECB)
-$10.00 coupon from 9/12 Smartsource
1 Scott Toilet Tissue 12pk, sale price $6.99 They don’t make Scott Tissue coupons for the regular kind, I guess they have the single ply market cornered.
1 Herbal Essence Shampoo or Conditioner $2.99 (get back 2 ECB)
-$.50 coupon from the 11/14 Redplum
I used to get shampoo for free, but I guess I have had a dry spell.
2 Mentos sale price $.99
-$1.00 off 1 coupon from the 10/03 Smartsource
So my total was like 28 bucks or something, minus the coupons ($5, $10, .50, .50, $1, $1) and a 10 Extra Care bucks I had.
My out of pocket was $3.38
And I got back my 10 Extra Care bucks! You see I rolled them! That’s nice.
What I did was by stuff I didn’t need (the meter) to get my total up to $25 and then I was able to apply my $5 off $25 CVS coupon towards my toilet tissue.
PS The meter by the way can and will be donated.
